After the Party is the Afterparty (Welcome to the Service Department)

Closing day is here, and its time to move into your new Uniform home! Time flies, right? It was just a few short months ago when you were signing the Agreement of Purchase and Sale, and now your home is complete. Moving into a new home can be stressful and time consuming. The list of things to do is long, but don’t fret, you’re in good hands – our Service Team will be with you from here on out!

Led by Jim Charos, Uniform’s Service Manager, each Uniform homeowner is assigned a Service Coordinator who will shepherd all service related items pertaining to your home. Our Service Coordinator team consists of Domenic Tanga, Adam Clarke, and Danny Paquette. Together they ensure you are comfortable and satisfied with all aspects of your home. Your Coordinator will be at all your inspections and will coordinate any and all service work in your home, if need be. The backbone of the Uniform team is Tiffany Regimbal, you’ll likely share a few emails or phone calls with her! She helps keep the team organized and helps guide our homeowners before moving in. Finally, each coordinator works closely with a trusted Service Technician who will look after small deficiencies in your home. This team consists of Peter Manoussos, Ken Duncan, and Robert Burns. Be sure to wave when you see them driving around your community!

Your first meeting with a member of the Service Team will be at your Uniform Inspection – a week or two before your Pre-Delivery Inspection. At this review, we inspect the operating condition of your home and its components; we give you an initial orientation of the mechanical systems within your home and how to use them, and lastly identify, assess, and compile a list of deficiencies. This inspection allows us to address as many issues on the list as possible BEFORE you take possession of your home.

Next up is your closing and PDI. At this inspection we re-visit those items listed during your Uniform Inspection and identify what has been completed to date. This is also an opportunity for you to ask additional questions about the components and systems within your home. We also provide you with a Certificate of Completion and Possession at your PDI, as well as, a copy of the PDI list – these are documents you will need to complete the legal components of closing on your home. At this inspection, you’ll also receive your “Uniform Homeowner Closing Package”.

Now it’s time for you to enjoy your new home… but don’t worry, we’ll see you again! Your Service Coordinator will be present for your 30-day inspection, 1-year and 2-year inspections, and the odd meeting here and there. All of these reviews allow our homeowners and the Service team to continually assess your home and any deficient items that should be documented. All of which can be easily organized and reported on Punchlist, your online Uniform service resource!
