Richardson Ridge Employee Highlight: Maureen Ainsworth

For the last six weeks we have highlighted members of our extraordinary sales staff as part of our ongoing employee blog series. We first spoke to Anna in Wateridge Village, then Martha in The Orchard and now to our third and final Sales Representative, the incredible Maureen Ainsworth, stationed out of Uniform’s Richardson Ridge community in Kanata, since 2011.

One of our favourite parts of this blog series has been inquiring with each of the ladies on what advice they would give to any potential home purchaser looking to make a life-changing home decision. What’s been so interesting (for us, and hopefully for you too) has been that each of our Sales Reps offers a distinctive perspective and different advice on where best to begin.

Maureen explains: “Start off with a pre-approval for your financing and try to find the location that works best for you.” Arm yourself with knowledge. Maureen wants her buyers to be informed by visiting new home builders in the locations they like the best – review the standards and designs that are included (or additional) in the purchase price. She goes on to explain, “Walk through the model homes to see the quality of designs and finishings. Ask lots of questions and don’t be afraid to ask for site plans, utility location, grading and landscaping plans.” The more you know, the more confident you will feel in your decision making.

Ottawa has a great market for new home sales, and we’re proud that Uniform homes in particular have high standard finishes and many well-designed exterior and interior housing options, whether you are looking for a small or large single family home, condo or multi-level townhome. Not only does she love the Uniform product but Maureen goes on to explain how much she enjoys working with the Uniform team. “They are friendly and approachable at all levels within the company. I also like the professionalism that makes everyone strive to be a better employee.”

Her interests in architecture and home design brought her to this industry. Experienced, driven and customer service focused, Maureen has been working in the new home industry since 2000 with years of experience working for new home builders. She loves the constant variety, new challenges and meeting new people. She’s passionate about helping customers find their dream home, and providing them with an amazing experience they’ll want to share with their friends and family.

Fun facts about Maureen: She has three wonderful sons, and three pets (two dogs & one cat). She is currently contemplating taking a trip to Scotland or England this year (still to be determined). Just like Martha in The Orchard, Maureen loves to garden and says that her backyard is slowly becoming a getaway retreat to enjoy after a long day.
