Winners! GOHBA Housing Design Awards

When the finalists were announced earlier this year, our team was thrilled to be nominated for six Housing Design Awards – the Greater Ottawa Home Builders’ Association’s annual best in show of Ottawa housing design.

This year’s gala was held on Saturday, October 20th at the Shaw Centre, in the beautifully decorated Trillium ballroom hosted by hilarious Canadian comedian James Cunningham.

With hundreds of Ottawa’s best in attendance, we can confidently say it was a tremendous honour to take the stage three times as our name was called for trophies – flashing lights, music and all attention on us!

A very BIG thank you to the GOHBA judges for honouring Uniform Developments with: Production Kitchen (161 sq. ft. or more) AND Production Bathroom with Deslaurier Custom Cabinets. We also picked up hardware for Low-Rise Suite with Hobin Architecture & 2H Interior Design for The Vista.

They say it’s an honour just to be nominated (and boy, is that ever true when you are up against other great builders) so we wanted to take time to reflect on all of the Uniform projects that made the list of 2018 finalists, including:

  • FINALIST: Production Home: Attached (2,001 sq. ft. or more)
The Lawrence: Uniform Urban Developments with Hobin Architecture & 2H Interior Design
  • FINALIST: Production Home: Single Detached (2,601 – 3,500 sq. ft.) – $750,001 and over
The Harris: Uniform Urban Developments with Hobin Architecture
  • FINALIST: New Community (Planned)
Richardson Ridge: Cardel Homes with Uniform Urban Developments
  • WINNER: Low Rise Suite
The Vista: Uniform Urban Developments with Hobin Architecture & 2H Interior Design
  • WINNER: Production Kitchen (161 sq. ft. or more)
    Deslaurier Custom Cabinets

Congratulations to all of this year’s winners, and thank you to Anita Murray and the Ottawa Citizen for special coverage of the event. The Housing Design Awards are a very special evening we look forward to every year watching as housing design continues to evolve, and push the boundaries of innovation and style throughout the city.
